Tokyo Medical University Hospital is located in the heart of the Shinjuku new metropolitan center,in the western part of Tokyo. It is the central health care and medical research institution among the new towering skyscrapers of the Shinjuku area.We have a total of 3 university hospitals including the Nishishinjuku campus,Kasumigaura,in Ibaraki prefecture and Hachioji. The Nishishinjuku campus is the largest in terms of physical presence and number of health care personnel. With regular replacement of chairmen of departments who are in charge of health care,we ensure that we always have an assembly of the newest and most advanced thinkers. We work closely together with the local general population and the doctors and medical facilities in the surrounding area. With the new establishment of a health liaison room, all staff at Tokyo Medical University are working towards a more open and connected medical care and service,in cooperation with other institutions and practitioners, fulfilling our role as a specially designated hospital. As a tertiary medical center and also as a maternal and child care center we have an extremely high level of perinatal care and we work in close cooperation with surrounding hospitals and clinics. We believe in providing good and reliable health care which is centered around the patient and we want to maintain our reputation as a hospital that is highly regarded by the community.
The hospital and its associated health centers have much to provide local residents and
we aim to promote the medical and health care education and health care management of the general population.
